A hundred gigawatt-hours of storage, acquired for free
Airform's projection: manufacture and deploy twenty million units by 2035 and the by-product is a hundred gigawatt-hours of federated storage at the point of load, the largest battery fleet in the country, because every battery arrived as someone's comfort.
Airform deployment projection, August 2026
Twenty million Airform nodes at 10 kWh each, United States
This is a scenario, not a measurement. The arithmetic is simple: twenty million nodes at ten kilowatt-hours each. The hard part is everything else: manufacturing at that rate, financing it, and proving that scattered storage behind millions of meters can be coordinated into a resource the grid can rely on. The Commons keeps this record open so that each of those assumptions can be tested separately.
